ARAG is looking for a Manager, Salesforce and Data Architecture! In this role, you will be ARAG’s Salesforce champion, recommending improvements and new features. Enjoy a flexible schedule, hybrid work environment, casual dress code, collaborative culture, and a beautiful workspace!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Salesforce & Data Strategy

  • Leads vision and strategy of ARAG’s Salesforce systems, guiding optimal architecture and data models for an integrated technical solutions to advance both homegrown and Salesforce.com platforms
  • Drives implementation of Salesforce enhancements to meet emerging business needs, including automation, personalized workflows, and predictive intelligence
  • Maintains a deep understanding of ARAG’s audiences, processes, systems and tools to identify gaps and recommend future state Salesforce capabilities
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive Salesforce documentation of business requirements, processes, architecture standards and training
  • Works with data stakeholders to maintain application data flows, enhances data collection methods and creates data integrity plans for all audiences
  • Oversees the development and maintenance of data models and data integration processes
  • Serves as liaison between business and development teams to ensure high-level business and user requirements are translated into functional technical requirements
  • Coordinates and maintains integrations with internal and external data sources and applications
  • Conducts quality assurance (QA), testing and troubleshooting exercises to ensure dependability and consistency of data and processes
  • Establishes metrics and methods for tracking data quality, completeness, redundancy, and improvements
  • Monitors Salesforce.com system releases and Salesforce Community, sharing developments with stakeholders and makes recommendations for new feature adoption
  • Manages Salesforce.com, consulting, and other 3rd party application vendor relationships
  • Acts as evangelist of Salesforce best practices, data standards and integrations to heighten ARAG’s Salesforce maturity
  • Collaborates with data analysts and business intelligence teams to deliver actionable insights.
  • Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices
  • Prepares and managse team objectives, plan, priorities and budget
  • Provides thought leadership, keeping pulse on trends and technology and proactively bring opportunties to the organization for consideration
  • Serves as a change agent to drive organizational transformation, creative ideation and innovation
  • Serve as a positive role model by representing ARAG at its Best
  • Other duties as assigned

People Management

  • Manages Salesforce Administrator and Data Development team members
  • Collaboratively set goals and expectations, ensuring continued personal and professional development, celebrating successes, and providing constructive feedback
  • Partners with Salesforce team members to provide guidance on Salesforce principles, ensuring efforts align with company, stakeholder and end user priorities
  • Partners with Data Development team members to provide guidance and oversight on data modeling and mapping for all data structures at ARAG
  • Mentors team members through the creation of innovative and impactful solutions, keeping dependencies, integrations and scope top of mind
  • Champions continuous learning, ensuring team members acquire specialized skills and capabilities to deliver the next generation of system functionality

Qualifications

Knowledge

  • Proven experience managing and developing others
  • Expert knowledge of Salesforce system and data structures, specifically Financial Services Cloud and the Insurance Data Model
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce data architecture
  • Robust understanding of existing and emerging CRM trends, best practices, third party applications and API capabilities
  • Knowledge of agile development methodology and project management tools
  • Working knowledge of internal and external digital asset capabilities (i.e. Marketing Cloud platform)
  • Experience with vendor management and contract negotiations

Skills

  • Ability to deliver a short-term and long-term Salesforce and data vision that encompasses both customer and business needs
  • Ability to conduct proof of concepts.
  • Proficiency in data modeling, SQL, and SOQL
  • Ability to manage and hold accountable dynamic team members with varying disciplines and skill levels
  • Ability to think beyond “what is” and ask “what could be?”
  • Ability to take initiative and advocate for purposeful change and constant improvement that sets ARAG apart from the rest
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to gather and analyze data, identify and interpret trends, create solutions to solve complex challenges and make data driven decisions

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to clearly articulate and present complex concepts to varying audiences

Education

  • Four year college degree in marketing, business, computer science or related field from an accredited college or university or equivilant experience.

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience with CRM systems, Salesforce Financial Services Cloud preferred. 3+ years of management experience preferred.

Certifications, Licenses, Associations, etc.

  • Salesforce.com Administrator Certification preferred.
